The counselling therapy is a talking therapy. The sessions are for you and they are your time and space to talk and to be heard.
I regard and value each person as an individual with their own unique experiences and so I will consider you the expert on your own situation. We will focus on whatever you bring into the room.
We will initially try to establish a professional therapeutic relationship. This will provide you with a safe, trusting and confidential space where you can truly be yourself and feel accepted in a non-judgemental way.
The therapeutic space that is created will give you the opportunity to explore aspects of your Self; your feelings and thoughts and how these influence your behaviour. I will listen and support you in your exploration. We will work together at all times. I will gently challenge and expand your exploration as you continue to process. The therapy will give you a better understanding of what is going on for you and an insight into yourself. You will gradually feel empowered to change and grow.
